Enquiry on Results (EOR)
Enquiry on Results: the process by which test takers ask for one or more test modules to be remarked by experienced Examiners and Senior Clerical Markers. This request is made after the test results have been released and is designed to ensure test taker performance has been accurately assessed.
General Regulations
Test takers are entitled to request a full re-mark (i.e. all sections) or a partial re-mark (i.e. one or more section) of their original results. Test takers must submit all their requests for re-mark to the IELTS Centre within six (6) weeks of the test date by email.
Victoria/Nanaimo/Courtenay-Comox Procedure
Test takers requesting a re-mark must:
- Download and complete the Enquiry on Result Form – Victoria form
- Make the $175 payment through e-transfer:
• Send an e-transfer to the email address: ieltsvictoria@gvenglish.com
• Include a message with your FULL NAME, reason for the payment, and test centre location - Email ieltsvictoria@gvenglish.com:
• A scan of the completed Enquiry on Result Form
• e-transfer confirmation - Wait approximately 2-21 days to be notified of the results
Calgary Procedure
Test takers requesting a re-mark must:
- Download and complete the Enquiry on Result Form – Calgary form
- Make the $175 payment through e-transfer:
• Send an e-transfer to the email address: ieltscalgary@gvenglish.com
• Include a message with your FULL NAME, reason for the payment, and test centre location - Email ieltscalgary@gvenglish.com:
• A scan of the completed Enquiry on Result Form
• e-transfer confirmation - Wait approximately 2-21 days to be notified of the results
Improvement in Score
Should a test taker be awarded a higher score than the original, the test taker will be issued a new Test Report Form (TRF) by the Test Centre with the new score(s). A full refund minus the $25 admin fee will also be issued to the test taker.
No Improvement in Score
Should there be no improvement in score, or should the original score decrease, the original Test Report Form is still valid for two years and there will be no refund of the re-mark fee.
