What you will need:
A high-quality, scanned colour copy of either your current valid passport or both sides of your Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) Card.
IELTS is very strict about the ID scan, as it is the primary form of ID that is used for the test. Please scan your ID at a high resolution so that we can clearly see the details of your face and the information listed below. If your ID scan is not approved, you will not be allowed to sit the test and you will not receive a refund.
The coloured digital copy of your ID document must include the following information:

- ID Document Number
- ID Expiry Date
- Picture
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Signature
If you have taken the test before, use your login credentials from your existing IELTS Essentials account. You do not need to upload your ID document again. If this is your first IELTS test, continue as a New User.

Step 4: Pay
We accept payments online by credit card through PayPal SmartButtons. If you wish to pay offline by E-Transfer, follow the steps below:
Victoria Procedures:
- Make a payment through e-transfer:
- Send an e-transfer to the email address: ieltsvictoria@gvenglish.com
- Include a message with your FULL NAME, reason for the payment, test date and test centre location.
- Email E-Transfer confirmation to: ieltsvictoria@gvenglish.com
Calgary Procedures:
- Make a payment through e-transfer:

- Include a message with your FULL NAME, reason for the payment, test date and test centre location.

Complete the information completely and accurately. If you need to make changes after you pay the test fee, contact the test centre.
Important Information
You must bring the ID document used for registration with you on test day – either your valid passport or Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Card. Photocopies of either document will not be accepted. Please be sure to bring the valid original document or you will not be allowed in the test center. Certified copies or expired IDs will not be accepted.
If you have sent your ID away to the embassy or another recognized organization and
do not receive it in time for your test, we will not be able to offer you a refund or a new test
date. HOLD ON TO YOUR PASSPORT.
How to complete your application
IELTS has implemented security procedures that require all test takers to provide a finger scan* and an on-site photograph on test day. This is a mandatory procedure and must be completed by all applicants on test day.
